The Potter’s Children Global Foundation, usually called PCG was established and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2017. It began when two individuals (co-founders) recognised the need to cater for underprivileged children living in the rural communities of Nigeria. This desire stemmed from the many children they saw hawking on the streets during school hours, the brilliant kids who were dropping out of schools, the cries of indigent parents who could not pay the medical bills of their ailing children, the wails of hungry and homeless children on the streets of the rural village of Gwagwalada, Abuja.
Over the years, and together with our team of members, donors and volunteers, we have been committed to substituting the trays of hawking children on the streets with books and into classrooms; awarding academic scholarships to indigent school children; supporting the medical bills of children whose parents are unable to pay; donating food stuffs, toiletries and clothings to the family of such children; etc. What we do has benefited over 5,000 indigent children who have had access to quality education, food in times of hunger, clothings for protection, well-being in times of sickness, etc.
